Go Canada!

Anyone else looking forward to the hockey game tonight? Should be a great game and hopefully Canada will beat the USA for the sixth consecutive gold medal.

Absolutely look forward to this Shane.
It should be a tight game.
It'll be interesting how they deal with losing Travis Hamonic on defense.

Aaauuugggh! I thought maybe they could pull it out just one more time, what magic by Eberle! Hate to say it but the didn't get the goaltending they needed for Gold. Can't say it wasn't exciting, though!!

I actually fell asleep after two periods and missed the rest of the game.

From what I saw in the first two periods, I agree with Swivel about the goaltending. It's too bad they couldn't of pulled off another one.

I agree; they should have pulled him earlier.
But I don't think that was the biggest problem.

1. They just had no answer for the USA speed in the transition game.
2. USA played perfect positional hockey in their own end, closing the lanes & blocking shots.

Eberle was fantastic & it was a tough one to lose, but the USA was full measure for the victory in this one.

Agree 1000% with 1 and 2; though they dealt with the speed a lot better than they had on NYE. I felt they competed much better, controlled the play more but just could not solve the US defence to get better quality chances. I felt at least 3 of the 6 US goals, including the winner, were weak. IMO they should have pulled Allen after the second one -- that's not hindsight, I was yelling for it as soon as it went in..and DEFINITELY after the third one. They clearly had him figured out plus he was shaky and in a game with relatively few Cdn scoring opportunities, they could not allow even one soft goal.

I also agree that US was the better team in both meetings. (oh, that hurts)

I agree the USA out played them badly in the first meeting, I didn't expect them to win the second game at all.
