I am going back to the dealer. I should be calling in a few minutes....

Anyways, if the dealer would agree for a repaint under their insurance, couldn't i throw a few bucks more to the shop to cover a whole repaint?

which will probably be a few thousand instead?
You would have to throw in another $1000-$2000 minimum over the cost of a regular repaint to change the colour properly.
By the sounds of things you have not got any confirmation on any repairs yet anyways. Good luck, you will need it.

It will most likely be more, I was shopping around for a colour change last year and the cheapest offer I got from a shop was 5 gs. To keep it the same colour, you can get it done for 2 if you know where to go.

It makes more sense now, as long as you pay the difference.
What colour are you thinking of changing it to?
Remember to consider your interior colour when choosing an new exterior colour. Some colour combinations do not look good at all.
Good luck!

That would definitely look nice.
With a black int. you are pretty safe with many colours.

Just my 2 cents again.
By using the dealer's insurance there should be no contact to your insurance. You can however, call your agent and tell them what happened. I did this when my G was bashed at a shop that was doing some work. Your Agent should tell you everything you need to know and will open a file, because they will go after the other ins. if you are not satisfied. It will/should not have an impact on you or your premiums, it didn't have any on me. The shop did all the work and there was no ins. claim, but my ins. was aware and ready to go int effect.I had the whole car repainted and was satisfied ......Life goes on. If you want a different colour, Get the repaint, sell your G and get the colour of your choice. With a very good repaint your G should fetch a good $. As I type this I'm thinking you should ask Alta what kind of a deal they will give you on the car of your choice if you give them your newly painted G and buy from them.
If you don't ask, you'll never know? Good luck man, you've got options.

White would look really good, since you don't see too many around.

That is the proper name for Canadian cars. Laser red is correct for the 350Z and US G's. It's the same colour of course.

Toreador means bullfighter.
