The other day I was installing a sat radio and robbed power from the cig lighter. Figured I would install a new cabin air filter I got when I purchased the car (2008) My car has about 90 000km on it. This is what I found. Needless to say I was disgusted.



Long story short. CHANGE YOUR CABIN AIR FILTER NOW

 

Wow that's pretty bad. The first time I changed mine I found the old filter completely bent out of shape and pretty dirty, nowhere near as bad as yours though. I remember reading a thread about someone who found a rat or something in theirs.

I changed mine at 90k miles and it wasn't eve close to that.

The stuff on the side is what I pulled out of the 2 upper vents. It was insane.

I thought there was a mouse or something in there too, but no droppings.

I changed mine at 39k and it was just dirty from like air debris, it was not dusty or had rats or anything like that. I thought I was going to see something like the OP ha.

Swivel might know where one is, i remember him mentioning one.

 

why does that look like fiberglass insulation ? lol, is that fckin fiberglass pink panther insulation that you get at Home Depot? cuz it looks like it, if that's the case then you've been breathing in tiny shards of glass for quite a while my friend

you're from Edmonton though, you guys got some crazy weather for sure I know that well, buddy of mine lives there.

when I changed mine it just was dirty and a few leafs here and there, nothing like that.
