Good Mechanics in Calgary?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good mechanic in Calgary. I will be needing my brakes serviced and I also purchased some coil overs which need to be installed.

Welcome, High, see the "Mod shop Calgary" thread.

Short answer: we don't really know of one but Lightspeed Innovations in Red Deer can do a good job of that work for you.

06 IP coupe, that sounds nice. What part of Calgary are you in?

For my coilovers I was planning to have Tunerworks install them since I purchased my Work wheels from them. They should be arriving in about a month and by the time they arrive I was planning to give them my coilovers to install as well.

What i'm looking for is a mechanic to do regular work. My brakes pads feel like they need to be replaced and I might need to machine my rotors as well. I've been to Hyatt Infiniti and Sunridge Nissan and I wasn't really impressed with the service.

I live in the NW part of Calgary, I plan to order a HKS cat back soon, just in the process of shopping around still. However, the cat back I think I can install it by myself with some help.

You may want to consider getting your hands dirty and changing those brakes yourself. You can save yourself a tonne of cash and if the 06's are anything like the brembo's they are the easiest brakes I have ever worked on.

Coilovers are doable yourself too... Just saying.... I think us south east enders have done both of those jobs in < 2 hours.

Classy, We had some really big meet's back when I was an active member. It looks pretty quiet in here now days though. You will find people to meet up with for sure though. There's still G/Z meets every summer and usually in fall for a final cruze in the falling leaves. Swivel would certainly be able to direct you to who the most active members are around here now. Wow, you really dug this thread from the bottom of the pile!
