G35...good lease deals...
G35...good lease deals...
cuz of good residual value. If one plans to keep the car after the lease, then it's pretty even. I have been looking at the Legacy GT, Acura TL, and G35. Wrote off the G35 cuz of the price. In the USA, the TL cost $3-4G USD more than the LGT. And according to R&T, the TL is smililar, may be a bit more $$ than the G35.
In Canada the LGT and TL are $1000 apart. The TL with Dynamic Package is less $ than the Premium Sedan. Knowing that, one would say the TL is best value, following by the G35, and LGT if we look at the $ conversion from USD to CDN.
Looking the the payment sheet the dealer gave me, the G35 has better residuals than the TL, and LGT. The LGT I priced out would cost me $750 for a 4 year lease (and $890 for a purchase). The TL is $710 for 4 year lease (and $840 for a purchase). The TL seem to be better deal than the LGT to lease cuz of residual value. I am not sure why the finance payment is $50 less for the TL if the rate are both at 4.8%, and no residual is involved in a straight finance to buy?!?!
Now the G35. A 48 month lease for the Luxury with 0 down is $570 before tax and pdi. The 6 speed is $613, and the AWD Premium w/nav at $724!! Without Nav it's $675. Therefore, one can lease a AWD w/o Nav for same amount as the TL Dynamic Package, and less than the LGT. For the $750 a month lease the the LGT requires, it looks like one can almost get into a G35C 6 speed w/o nav!
So, I wrote off the Mazda 6 (bad resale), TSX (not enuf juice) before. I wrote off the G35 cuz of price. Was down to the LGT and TL but now I think the G35 is back in the picture. I like the coupe more, but I will need the 4 door and more room cuz I have many friends I drive with :-). Do want the 6MT but if I got AWD cuz of Canadian winters, I will be stuck with the 5AT. The 05's do not have AWD 6MT do that? I assume one can get a nice deal on remaining stock, if such is available. Dealer told me they didn't have any 6MT Sedan last time I was there so they let me test the coupe. And if the finance rate hasn't gone up, I would be able to get into a 6 speed w/Nav, or a AWD w/o Nav.
