Emergency, help please!!
wow sorry to hear your bad story...but like the poster up there said...should of let it dried up first before trying to take it for a spin...but hope everything works out fine for your
Thanks... yeah I know I should've waited..
BTW, I inspected the air filter and it is wet... I will try to start the car again tomorrow night after the car gets baked from the sun.
Should I leave the battery unconnected until tomorrow night?

There are certain things you should cover up before washing the engine bay such as the battery, alternator, air intake, TB/MAF/O2 connecters, etc. Plastic grocery bags work great for this.
Since you're beyond that point now, disconnect the battery and leave the hood open to let things air dry overnight. Try starting it again in the morning and report back.

Hmm since the air filter is wet, it's a good idea to let that dry up first.. It's letting water in your engine which is why you are experiencing the jerking. Letting it bake might help, if you can... Try to take the air filter out and speed dry it yourself
....regarding the Christmas lights in your dash... Follow the engine light reset procedure once the car is ready to be driven. Once the engine light is on, depending on the code, it might stay on until reset.
I was planning to wash my engine before selling the G but I was afraid of something like this. This thread just further supported my decision to keep it the way it is lol....
Anyways, good luck, hope it's nothing serious

I rinse my engine bay on occasion but refrain from blasting at any connectors. You probably got a connector wet. They're designed to resist splash, but not direct pressure-washing jets. I had this happen on my BMW 325 and in the end had to replace the fuel injector harness due to corroded contacts. Good luck.

So I took my filter out and it had to be replaced. I replaced the filter and cleaned the MAF sensor. I also have disconnected the battery for 15 minutes or so hopefully my ecu has been restarted. I still havn't turned the car over yet just waiting until sun sets. The hood is still up at the moment.
The air filter was destroyed... Anyways don't know what's up with the sizes of the pictures lol.
Update #2. 8:00 pm
So I started the car, all the lights went off and only the "service engine soon" light is on. I took it around the block and it drove fine no jerking but seemed a bit underpowered. The problem is though, when I stop the car gets really rough on idle. It stalled twice when I went around my neighbourhood. It is the sparkplugs being wet and it's not dried completely? Will it eventually dry up or I need to take the plugs out and crank the engine to force the water out of the socket(someone's advice)? Please if someone knows..

You definitely sucked in some water, just let the car sit over night with the battery off, luckily we have a pretty warm night tonight. You didn't hydrolock the engine, you need to suck in about 250ml at least to hydro an engine.
Leave it until tomorrow then when you start it let it warm up for a couple minutes.
