that's some big hail

We had a bad hail storm in Red Deer a couple years ago, thankfully I had the G in the garage but my poor truck was stuck outside and had probably 50+ dents on it... insurance sent it to a paintless dent-repair place and they did an awesome job getting everything out, only cost me the $250 deductible.

I remember being in my house though and having to go into the basement because the hail hitting the windows was obnoxiously loud...

There's pics around of people who got caught outside in big hail storms, looks like somebody walked up to them with a paintball gun and went crazy

Finally got the appraisal: $2400 damage - includes $250 worth of trim on the passenger's side around the windows plus dents on 7 panels which will be PDR.

There was a Toyota in the shop with a broken windshield and it looked as if somebody went over it with a 20oz ball peen hammer.

Yeah, stuck throttle and into the hail. The combined velocity (although it was an Echo/Yaris/Corolla pile which doesn't amount to much) added to the impacts.

So the G went in to the body shop to get the dented trim replaced today (PDR Sept 16). They called at 3:00 to say the adjuster had specified one of the trim pieces for the left side instead of right. Of course, they order based on what the adjuster says. The correct piece for the right side is 6-8 weeks b/o from Japan. Nice.

That sucks...does this mean you have to wait that long to get your G back or can you drive it until then?

Maybe when he did the estimate he was standing in front of the car. Insurance companies...don't get me started.

Fortunately the didn't take the dented piece off before they discovered the error.

OTOH, I only saw one dent in the trim anyway and the insurance found 4 pieces with damage. Bah...
