Got hit and run'd
http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/8...1007161846.jpg
So my sister borrowed my car out for the week in Toronto. While she was parked in Chinatown somebody smashed my car and drove off. My sister didn't call the cops instead she just drove off and is on her way home to Ottawa now. The vehicle's insurance is under my name. What should I do? |
dam that sucks.. you have full coverage? if it was parked just say you parked it and when you came back someone hit your car and didnt notice it till you got home since its on the passengers side

doesnt matter. my fathers car had full coverage and i crashed his car the insurance covered it anyway my name wasnt on the list. the insurance isnt gonna go up alot unless u filed alot of claims over the past few years. my father had allstate during that time plus 12k in damages

Hate to say, that looks more like the driver scraped a concrete pole in a parkade rather than any vehicle impact.
|
^+1
|
well... I wasn't going to say it, but that was my thought as well :icon43:
It just doesn't fit the pattern of another vehicle. |
^Agreed.
Especially on the passenger side when it's parked?? One way street? :confused2: |
Sounds like your sister has some explaining to do.
|
first mistake is letting your sister borrow your G.....
but GL with everything and +1 to what everyone is saying |
the left side of the damage makes no sense. you can see the scratches end at the deeper part of the skirt. if it was a car then the damage would continue to the higher points of side. looks like someone backed up into a pole, stopped and went forward
|
I was going through a list in my mind of what kind of vehicles draw all the way down to 4 inches off the ground to just under a G's window... I ran dry.
So +1 to the suggestion and good luck. Hope she doesn't work for 8 bucks an hour. I can't be too judgmental... I drove over a likely similar post with one of our 8x8 crash trucks- mind you, the pole got the worst of that interaction! |
Oh-oh, I think sis has some explaining to do :icon27:
|
i guess you ll find out really what happened, if you ask some tricky questions to your sister, it definitely looks like she was trying to do a right turn on a corner and grind the side. in any case damage is done, GL with the repairs.
