Sandbar is usually a good time, on Granville Island. it's a restaurant that morphs into a bar. don't know how old you are, it's an older crowd there sometimes.

Cibo is an great little new italian joint down in gastown.

lots of options in yaletown as well so that's worth an evening.

East Hastings.

Hahhahahahhaha.

Kentaro just off west robson. Guu on west robson. Ocean Beach down in White Rock Friday nights is a REALLY good place to get into fights with guido
esque individuals, if that's your thing.

My brother lives in Yaletown the first time I went out and this is definitely the place to be if you like the night life. Granville is crammed with alot of nightclubs and Robson has alot of niche stores.

Stanley Park is a must if you like the outdoors, and best way to experience is it by walking along the Seawall. Granville Island has an awesome farmer market and is worth a trip there, along with Jericho Beach or Spanish Banks. ChinaTown is pretty interesting too if you are coming from a smaller city that lacks that and same with Gas Town. There is also a nice Observatory thing a street over from W. Hastings (Cordova I think) that overlooks the harbor, really an interesting sight at night.

E. Hastings is a interesting/depressing place to drive by, but I wouldn't want to go in the back alleys at any point lol.

You havnt lived till you've walked down east hastings. Knowing you could be stuck with a needle or mugged or hit over the head with a frying pan etc at any moment is a GREAT feeling.
