CF-18 Crashes at Lethbridge airport
http://www.calgaryherald.com/crashes...226/story.html
We are attending this show tomorrow. I'm thankful for two things: 1. the pilot is reported to be okay, no injuries on the ground and 2. We weren't there to witness it
Pretty scary. The show will go on, but there will be no CF-18 demonstration which is too bad because it's a highlight of the show.

From what I've read, hes fine. Could have died. Probably should have. But he didnt.
As a side note. Dont take anything I say seriously. My sense of humor is already sending me to hell. (no I didnt find what happened funny. But, if I COULD watch a pilot safely ditch from a plane then sh\t blow up, I would.)

Here are a few shots from the show, to make up for the bad news.

^^ That was the main reason I went this year, Paul; I'd seen most of the other performers previously but had never seen a Corsair in flight. Magnificent. And the story behind this one is very interesting:

To be honest, though, the highlight of the show was listening to the the P-51's Rolls Royce Merlin engine -- finest exhaust note of any engine, of any kind, ever built. The only thing better would be to hear it from a Spitfire.

Good to read pilot is okay. Another interesting post by Swivel. Coming from an air force military family I always love seeing pics of planes.
huckersidways -those are a couple of disturbing posts.
