Anyone who knows me or has been to my house knows that I live in a super secluded part of town (very residential area though) My house is in a dead end and is very out of the way from a very quiet street.
This morning I walked outside and found my door slightly open, not quite closed not quite open, locked though...? So I unlock the car and get in and do my daily thing (seat belt, sunglasses, pick a song on my ipod) Follow the cable that leads to my ipod.... no ipod.
So some jack *** walked the 50 meters off the street into my driveway, opened my door, went into my arm rest and stole a 4 year old 80gig ipod.
He DIDN'T steal my $200 Oakleys, my $200 Nikes, or the $800 cash (in a bank envelope) all of which were on top of my ipod.
I'm actually kind of offended, did this mother****er think my sunglasses were ugly?

Not to be harsh man but..why the fvck would you leave all that stuff in your car...to me there are only two reasons someone breaks into a car..1) if they are going to steal it..2) And if there is something in the cabin of a car such as the items you described...Me personally I only have my insurance and registration and my wheel lock in the glove compartment and a black CD case behind the shotgun seat..I have black mats and tint..the only way you know its there is if you move the shotgun seat up...I would never leave personal items in my car...sine my car already stands out I give thieves one less reason not to fvck in my car...sorry to hear...that fvcker will get his..

You really gotta see my driveway dude, the 20 years of living here never once had something like this happen.
Also, NOTHING was in plain site. When the car is parked, nav is down, cup holders closed and arm rest is shut. No wires or loose ends hanging out.
I've been having issues with my windows and locks on the drivers side and I'm starting to think it hit the bricks good last night. I rarely ever don't lock my car and I'm pretty positive I locked it. Time to hook up the viper again I guess.

Had to be a kid. Missing the obvious stuff and taking the tunes...
Sorry for the bad luck, man......Yes on the Viper for sure.
Tough times call for tough measures. Nowhere is safe anymore.

Blain, I don't know anyone that leaves $800 cash in the car overnight (well I guess I know someone now) You are either very rich or extremely ........

an ipod can be replaced, better that than someone getting hurt.
interesting they just walked up and "knew" it was open... seems like your house is out of the way for most walkers, etc.

Moved to a new neighbourhood 4 weeks ago. 2nd night in and my wifes sedan gets broken into. Luckily, she keeps nothing in there. They got some change and an expired starbucks card. About 15 vehicles got hit that night and a couple nights later, they hit my neighbour a 2nd time! we are certain is just some neighbourhood kids that are bored......

Sorry to hear Blain. It's always unsettling knowing someone invaded your stuff. Colin is right though. Kids can be a PITA, especially the dumb ones. With so many people these days leaving their gadgets in their vehicles, these types of thefts are becoming rampant in our neighbourhoods.
You saw where I live (near Stephan). We are nestled up in a court within the woods and the same thing happened to a few of our neighbours last winter. I found my neighbour's Garmin at the end of my drive (a kid probably got spooked and dropped it) but unfortunately, it was after my wife drove the van over it.
