I hope it's OK. My wife got hit on the way home from work (in our van) without any damage.
LOL That's a great idea Paul. Where can I get one?

So, one Hailstone managed to take out some paint on the hood. Third of the way North of Center. Saw it as I was using some ONR to wash the car. I've got one of those pens so I guess I'll put some on. Need I clean the area with anything first because I was using a polymer?

Me neither, ... until 15 min ago. Now I know it can happen. Considering the sizes of those suckers, I guess I got off lucky.

Huh... live and learn I guess. I saw a Toyota at the appraisal center that looked like it had been beaten with a hammer. Paint wasn't broken at all.

Thats too bad Sam.
My resident Detailer says use something that will clean/remove any grease/wax from the area like Joy or Dawn. They are heavy on detergents so they will strip away clean the area. Don't get it all over the hood though.
Put it this way, he uses dawn to wash vehicles before he clay bars them.
A chemical cleaner/dewaxer can be bought but isn't necessary. It's a fresh chip so it should be good and easy to prep.
Stay out of the sun too.

Friday night, I got completely ready for Earl to hit on Saturday morning. Brought all of my outdoor plants inside, patio furniture inside, filled the jacuzzi tub with water, etc. Saturday morning came and we really didn't get hit that hard at all. I think we had winds gusts only up to 60 km/h compared to the 120 km/h they forecast. NS on the other hand was very different, and from what I understand Halifax got hit pretty good. I left a Deane a vm on Friday night wishing him the best but haven't heard back. Hopefully he faired Earl ok.

yeah, we're back from Bathurst safe and sound. Shane, sorry I haven't had a moment to return the call -YET.

Wasn't any damage here. My new roof held together too. Just had to spend an hour or so cleaning up all the debris on the lawn. The windows are a mess with dirt and small specs of leaf but we'll clean them up sometime soon.

Bathurst didn't really get anything out of the ordinary weather wise.
