To find out which one you have just select, Options -->About. All the info you need will be there.
If its a 9550 in good condition ask for at least $275, if not more. A new one from Bell is $500+tax.

^Not much i'm currently on the 8830 and was not impressed and was surprised it wasn't even sold out as they were claiming it would be...pretty much a storm with a slideout keyboard
exactly. some nice features on it that my tour didn't have.
same cpu as the bold 9700.
but it does look nice and for tech aficionados they'll buy it.
but if you have a working blackberry i'd keep it for now.
How does torch work with our bluetooth? I had 2 BB before with no issue on my 08X. Is this compatible? I could not find it on infiniti.com/bluetooth. Unless I suck searching.
time for me to upgrade thru my company and thinking torch. I could of pick iphone4 too but the BBM I use a lot within the company. Would miss it badly.
Thanks in adavance

Bluetooth seems to be the same as it was with my 8830 WE. No problems at all.
BTW I just updated from OS version 6.0.0.246 to the leaked version 6.0.0.337. (it was leaked Nov 4th, check crackberry dot com)
OS 6.0.0.246 is good but 6.0.0.337 is even a little smoother.
FWIW....for some of you...if you have heard bad things about Blackberry OS6 on the Torch they are possibly/likely old reviews done in July/Aug. Original reviews were made when the Torch was first released with AT&T using OS 6.0.0.141 which WAS not good at all. In Canada it was released with 6.0.0.246.
My Torch touch screen and software works as smooth as my kids' 3rd gen iTouch.

IMO, Apple (iPhone/iTouch/iPod) pushes a lot more updates per device than RIM does. Every other time I connect/sync my kids Apple products it tells me I need to update iTunes or the device software. They are no better in this aspect. And Jailbreaking...never mind, I'll stick with my 'OPEN' Blackberry.
My 13 year old son took over my Torch for a couple hours tonight and couldn't put it down. Said it was far better than his iToy.

If possible, I would go to the store and select one. Look at them and make sure the slider screen is snug when open and closed. There have been reports of a few early production models that had poor build quality and the slider on them wobbles to much.
Check all the buttons too.
