Not a Canadian manufacturer per se, however like a lot of other Fords, the Edge is built in Oakville, Ontario.

Did you get the model with the bigger 6 and paddle shifters, I know how you enjoyed those paddles in your G.

Flappy paddles FTW! They were the single, best improvement I did on my 5AT.

No I didn't Wayne. The Sport model comes with the 3.7L, paddle shifters, and 22" wheels. I really didn't want 22" wheels so I opted for the Limited instead with the 3.5L. They didn't have a Sport on the lot that I could test drive and I wasn't sure how much the 22s would compromise the ride quality.

I agree about the 22's I wouldn't want them either, doesn't leave much cushion left for our rough roads. The 20's would be nice though.

There was a post on Autoblog not too long ago saying that the Sport's performance was less than impressive compared to the non-sport models.

I can't find it at the moment, but if I find it, I'll post up the link here.

Hmm, speed-wise, the Edge Sport < Edge Base. Kind of like the G Coupe < G Sedan
...Oops, did I say that out loud?

So are a number of GMs (Camaro), Acura, Honda, Suzuki, Toyota, Chrysler, one Volkswagen and even a Kenworth.
