my I30 sold for top dollar, helluva time findig a truck though

The I30 is gone, I sold it on fri with the help of Blaine his buddy bought it for my asking price (3900). I was actually going to take it off the market but he came on the same day and put the deposit on it.

The tough thing now is trying to find a truck, I only wanted to spend 14,000 but I learned quickly that its not gonna get me anything decent. I was looking at quad cab only F150 and Rams but the Rams drive like crap and go through front brakes like they were paper sorry Dodge guys Ford has you beat by a long shot. I've also been looking for an 05' Odyssey and/or Pilot but again haven't found one. Now I know what you're saying "there are tons of F150's out there" yes but the 3 I looked at claimed to be "mint" not to my standards and probably most of you for that matter. If anyone has a hook up for trucks let me know having 1 car is a PITA.

Check out Silverados or Sierras? Friend of mine recently picked up an 07 Sierra with 35k miles for $13k usd. Granted, it is a reg cab work truck with the 4.8, but I have seen others out there in the same range with a few more options.

Agreed if I was looking for just a work truck I'd be able to find something easier but its a family vehicle so it has to be quad, 4x4 and it should have the mid grade options anything extra is a bonous. You also should realize we get rapped with Canadian pricing here although its not as bad as before.

^ I noticed the same thing lately Roy.
The commercial plane janes were plentiful but decent mid range trucks were hard to find.
I stopped looking for now, but I'll have to do something to replace my current truck before too long.

You could always just look in the states aswell with the dollar pretty much at par and no duty as it is made in north america.

It took me quite a while to find my last 2 trucks, because we wanted them fully loaded. It is definitely worth the wait to find a good one.

Hung out with Mike the night you dropped off the car and he was smiling ear to ear about it.

Bad *** first car IMO.

Good luck in your search for the truck Roy, something will pop up!

Well another test drive and another disappointment today. This one was an F150 FX4 06' leather moonroof 125k for 16,900. it was in better shape than the other 3 I looked at but still some issues like cracked stereo face, 1 and 2 fan speeds didnt work for heating, big burn mark on rear carpet, truck out of alignment, some rust forming at the bottom of the doors and leather seat worn on the usual spots. The salesman said he would fix all the problems with the exception of the rust forming but the price would be firm at 16,900.

The Titan is a great truck. I wanted to get one or it's smaller brother the Frontier Crew Cab, but they were just too much money, I could not find a good one for a good price. I bought another used GMC, an 08 Crew Cab Z71fully loaded and I am very pleased with it.
