Driver door doesn't always unlock.

So I dug the G out of a snowbank in the driveway this morning. Clicked the remote and thought the door was frozen shut. So I opened the passenger door and noticed the driver door was not unlocked. Unlocked it from the inside, went around and opened the door. Started the G and shut the door, almost. Bounced open. Closed it a few more times and it held.
So, is it a lube problem, I hope or do I need to hit up the stealer for an appointment?
Well, off to shovel the driveway and salt the stairs?
BTW, what are you using to keep the rubber door moldings from freezing to the windows?
Have a good day out there.

It could be a sign to a failing door lock motor. Mine did that just before it totally stopped working. I've done the door lock actuator mod twice now and it's an easy fix!!

I believe you are better off doing the actuator mod that nogoodname mentioned, better off in terms of $$. I believe buying a new one from one of the US dealers is around $150-200 US and locally they want like $500 cdn...lol. I ended up selling a slightly used one a few months ago for $80.

I paid like 20 dollars shipped for the actuator then bought some little parts locally for the install. it takes like a few hours to do this.

if you ever have any questions about what to do. I took some pics of what i did and can explain it.

That is very cheap. Was it the whole thing like this?

Not at all, search for the 5 dollar mod and you'll see what I mean.
