Anyone repaint their OEM front bumper? I'm looking for some local quotes and any input advice would be appreciated.

 

i'm repainting my oem bumper in the next couple months. I went to one shop where one of the guys on this site works and he said $800 to repaint bumper, fenders and hood to get rid of the stone chips

 

Holy inflation - 800 pesos.

I just need the bumper repainted, everything else is in surprisingly good condition. Is it possible he said paint everything for a colour matching purpose or because you wanted to paint everything?

 

i wanted to paint the hood and bumper because of stone chips, he suggested doing the fenders too

 

Most cases they'll wanna blend the fenders and when you blend fenders to bumper you often blend the hood.

If you don't care about it matching, then you can get just the front painted for $250-$300

Any less than that and I wouldn't trust the shop, a lot of shops will quote low then do a really **** prep job. The bumper will look good, but the paint will fall off in the long run.

 

Take it to 360 auto in Markham and talk to Chi, I think its about $250.

 

^yea but 360 isnt a dedicated body shop. you thinks it's better to go someone where they focus just on paint?
