I work in the insurance industry. As long as she was charged; you're golden. Also, the onus is always on the person making the LHT to make sure its safe to proceed - which clearly the other driver didn't do.

FYI - Discount Rental has the G35 rated as a DIAMOND $129.99/day vehicle. Be sure to get a nice rental for this not-at-fault inconvenience. Your insurer should be paying for the whole thing.

Im sad to see the accident (most likely totaled) but glad to hear you are not at fault.

Will you get another G35?

same thing I was thinking. With the reduced value of our cars now I wouldnt be surprised if the insurance company writes off the G as totaled, but let's cross fingers that they decide to pay for the repairs and dont just give a check for something like $8k

You must have never been in an accident before. As much as you love your car, you should definatly be hoping for a total here. Repaired cars with as much damage as your will never be 100% fixed. Not only will you have a diminished value due to the accident but your paint will be off due to sun fade (they only paint affected areas, not whole car) and nothing will ever line up 100%.

You probably wont get enough to just buy a replacement (tax, title, ect) but you will probably only be out of pocket 500-1000 to get a similar replacement.

^ Damn your negative man

Roy sorry to hear, just seeing the pictures now, it looks rough. There are a couple of vendors with some nice bumpers for our cars now. Good luck.

Not being negative. It is just the fact of the game. Especially when you have a car that is 8 years old. If they repaint half of it, it will be very noticable and your value will be diminshed due to the accident on record.

Best thing to do is strip your parts off, buy a new G35 and reinstall your parts.

Only case when it makes sence to repair a car with that much damage is if you have serious money invested (built motor, body kit, custom paint, custom interior ect)

Well I'll have to see what Insurance says, I'm not worried about parts lining up because 1. the shop is very reputable 2. my insurance told me I have a 5 year warranty on any defects or problems on the car that's caused from the accident 3. the money that Insurance would give me is not enough to get another one as good in condition as mine is.
You people don't make sense you will change your whole front end to look different and its ok but if the parts get smashed (WITHOUT ANY INTERNAL DAMAGE) the car is no longer any good. I'd take my car back ina heartbeat rather than buy a used one with the same KM'S who knows what I'd be buying I know mine has been meticulously maintained from new and it doesn't burn a drop of oil how many G's on this site burn oil??

If they cut me a cheque I'm out of the sorts car scene for a while, I'm using the cash to pay off my truck and buy a small little POS to get me to work and back. Last year I made $36,000 with my $hitty job and got laid off in Sept. This Year is not off to a good start so I'll have to catch up before I start putting some High $$ twards another car & Mods. And Yes Arthur I'll most likely get another G (I'm trying to go for Ian's)

I'm waving the White Flag I've had enough of this BS I should have stayed with C.P Rail making $50. + G's, I just wanted to see my kids more and put more effort into my DJ Business well bad luck gave me a slap in the face!!!!

Looks like a good candidate for a coupe front end conversion, insurance could pay for everything but maybe a fender and a light.

That's what I was thinking or at least you can do a 05-06 sedan swap.
