Got a call from the service manager today, new short block is on order:-) I did alot of research on the oil consumption issue, and found alot of people seemed like they were getting dicked around from dealerships. Had me a little nervous. Also, I think canadian dealerships had a different TSB then US. I had to come back every 1000kms 5 times for them to check and record oil levels. These are the recorded oil levels for my car.

2005 6MT 80,000kms

1st Check 5ml
2nd 7ml
3rd 14ml
4th 13ml
5th 7ml

I didn't have to produce any oil change receipts. Hoping for a g37 loaner!

 

I saw a real nice IPL G37 in the new showroom on Saturday with your name on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I had a decent experience with them too actually. There aren't too many of us in Vic but for those of you on the island I can say from experience that they are pretty reasonable!

(might be a bit less now, mind you- considering my recent mods!)
