RE050s notoriously get louder as they wear. Had worn ones on the front of mine 2 years ago...deafening!

Odd, mine are no more than 1mm over the wear bars and they're quiet. I've had plenty of summer performance rubber that got noisy as a cement mixer near wear-out. All the more reason for 3 season skins IMHO.
