Problems coming all at once with this car

So I have had some clunking noise from the front driver side, compression rod so I think. I just replaced my compression rods maybe about a year and a half ago, the revised version. But lately I have had symptoms of a bad wheel bearing! So I bought the part and I am hoping the clunking noise is projected from that bad wheel bearing.

Then two days later I noticed my G wasn't really rolling forward or backwards, I looked around the car and I noticed heavy brake dust on one of the wheels, so I drove by this shop and he said my caliper was seized! The piston wasn't moving at all. The funny thing is this caliper has already been replaced because of a seized slider bolt a year ago!

I have a hard time understanding why these brakes seize up when I at least twice a year do a brake cleaning service?

Luckily Skidz has a caliper for me, but I don't know how long its going to last for, I just put on brand new pads last month and because the caliper seized I have to buy another set for the rear.

I know they are not major things but its just getting annoying, I even gave consideration to buying the 05-06 caliper but I heard there are same problems with them. So what do I get, brembos and spend $1500??

Look into Racing Brake. I purchased a front kit for my car last spring, couldn't be more pleased with performance and cost.

That sucks, my trunk actuator just quit on me the other day.. I have a nice aftermarket set-up where I have attached a string to my emergency trunk release until I get a new one haha

Well put a another caliper on for now with new rear pads again. Replaced the wheels bearing but the clunking has not gone away, So I guess it is the compression rod

Just wait til the door lock and window motor dies out lol. Then you'll like the car even more :P

What's with random rattling noises from these cars. I have one from the rear and no idea where it's coming from.

You know what's awesome. My 20 year old toyota creaked rattled and banged less than my 7 year old datsun. And had far less problems overall. And had another 200hp. How's that for a kicker.

Arthur I have a bud with an 03' G sedan that's got allot of problems mind you he's got 250+k on it. If his car is any indication on how 1st gen G's hold up for long term sell it before 200k.
