Ordered Tires from the US...

Since the Dollar is so good I decided to take advantage of the prices in the US. I ordered a set Nitto NT555 245/35R20 from Discount Tire Direct the price was $500. even out the door They will be shipped to a Holding place in Niagara Falls NY called CBI, my Mechanic told me to use them he orders stuff and ships it to CBI frequently he said its the best way to buy things in the US.
CBI only requires $24. holding fee for tires and that's it, you drive down pick up your tires bring em back, (Pay your Taxes here) and you save $300. + (depending on what you buy) I calculated the cost of Can Tax, gas to go down, Holding fee and I'm still saving $260 + as opposed to buying them here.

I just did the same thing but I shipped mine to a place called CAN-AM mailbox rental on the american side.

Shipped 19" OEM rays with tires, BC Racing Coilovers, and SPC front + rear camber kit... They only charged me $31 for everything. Saved TONS on shipping/customs/duties.

Why don't you just change your tires there and don't pay the tax?

I thought of it but don't know of a good place down there + its not like stores carry 245/35 20 in stock, I've also heard allot of the shops close to the border charging ridiculous amounts for mounting cause they know Canadians are driving down to put tires on.

I just bought tires from US and had it shipped direct to me. The overall cost I think I still saved about 100-200 bucks. If i were to had it shipped to the us and picked it up i would have maybe saed 50 bucks to 100 bucks due to gas.

The place i bought my tires is www.tiresavings.com order the tires on Thursday and received it Tuesday if it wasn't for the long weekend. Easy to order and price were the cheapest.

That is my review and I would buy from them again

The last time I did it, I phoned around and find the best prices in Buffalo - Clive Hill Buffalo.

Go down and have them installed and drive back.

Discount tires direct will ship pretty much any tires on there website EXCLUDING Nitto (because Kal tire has Canadian Exclusive) to Canada including brokerage and taxes for $80 per pair of tires.

What I love about them, is the prices listed are the prices INCLUDING shipping to anywhere in NA
