Is Mr. Clean Auto Dry good or bad?

Just curious, I did the research and too many info popped up. Does Mr. Clean's product damage our paint because the type of chemical "poly-something"? Anyone have a problem with Auto Dry? I started using the product in the summer time and it looks great.. but as today I washed the car using Auto Dry after a month... the paint seems... fading away....or could it be my eyes. Any have a suggestion?

Great product bro..... That fading you're seeing is prolly smog sediment on the paint.
You'll either have to compound the car, or clay bar it to get it clean again.

I am pretty convinced u will not need to compound the car however u may need a good claybar and polish followed up by a god carnuba wax which will only protect for 3 months max.

Other than that with the mr clean thingy... I would use the attachment for the hose but not the car wash, go and get yourself a good carwash product, a california waterblabe and a good chamois to take off the exsess water. The mr clean system is not made to elimanate drying no matter what they want to tell u, but what it is made for is to extend the amount of time to dry the car without the spots drying onto your paint and leaving the nutrients behind to etch themselves into the paint.

Anyways hope this helps a bit and good luck.

The Mr Clean is awesome, and yes it does work. I happen to know a little on the subject.
After you wash it and then soak it again, your car is clean but still has tap water all over it, loaded with minerals, chemicals, and the like.
The "drying" setting sprays ionized water on the car...basically the water now has a negative charge on the molecular level. This water "bonds" to the positively charged atoms in the minerals that cause water spots, and form a nuetral charge.
Since this water is nuetral and has no static electricity and very little surface tension, gravity pulls it off with little or no friction on the paint.
And trust me, for my black coupe, nothing could be better than not having to dry it. Swirl marks are a pain.

Just make sure you follow the directions....spray heavily to soak the car, 12" away all around.

I got myself one for Christmas. I have to say the product worked just as advertised. Unfortunately I wont be using it again. The nozzel position for the filtered water is just WAY to slow. I can dry of the car quicker than I can thouroughly rince the car with that mist. But like I said before, it did work well.

it took forever to dry a car, and my arms get more tiring after spraying that mist for like half an hr....

After i spray the mist I let it sit for about 5 mins...than I take the car out and go for a spin...air drying it quickly...works super.

i loved it the first time i used, but yeah it is really slow. i am on a well where i am, and the water is full of deposits, so the filter only lasted like 2 washes. i bought a replacement it lasted maybe 3, then the end result was way worse than if i had washed the car normally. it is convenient to have the soap/water spray, but hand drying is easier and more reliable, imo.
