My Young Eagle
I had no idea this organization existed:
http://www.youngeagles.org/programs/youngeagles/
My 12-year-old son Ian, an aviation fanatic and Royal Canadian Air Cadet, participated in their free flight program today. Several volunteer pilots brought their own aircraft and provided flights for kids 8-17. I signed him up thinking he might catch a ride in a Piper or Cessna, or at best someone's homebuilt kit plane.
Or how about the Christen Eagle -- a fully aerobatic performance biplane!
The pilot even gave him about a minute of stick time. Not only did Ian score a ride in this little hot rod, he flew it. I was sooooo envious.
It's gonna take weeks to wipe the smile from his face.

Everyone says that. Good thing for his mother, right?? haha! I take it as a compliment, he's a good-looking kid. I envy him his dating life in about 5 years.
That is cool something he will remember for a long time, I have an uncle that was in the snow birds and flew F-18s I had an opportunity to go up in a jet with him was I was young but I was to chicken I regret it all of the time
