OBD II Reader on Sale
CND Tire has the Equus OBD II code reader on sale again for a great price. $100 off at $149.99 until December 9th.
Great way to read and reset your codes when you trip a MIL! Buy your G an early Chrismas present.

Great deal Gord, thanks for the reminder.
I also got one at that price (yes I went back for a further $50 refund last year) and love it.
Great tool folks...it's reasonably versatile and informative, and very useful in resetting MIL's.
A trip to the dealer for a MIL reset can be expensive.

What does MIL mean?
I'm not too familiar with that and I'm starting to think of getting one too. Anymore info what else it can do?

As you've prolly heard, they can be caused by many an issue, some issues are of a nuisance nature and can be cleared quickly if you have a tool to do so.
These tools are well worth the $$$ (especially on sale) and can pay themselves off very quickly when you look at what the dealer can charge for the service.

Just got another OBD II reader from EQUUS: the INNOVA 3110.... see pic.
It's the next version after 3100 that includes 'CAN' -- which is Controlled Area Networking, found on newer ride's comps. (including my new Civic, hence my new reader....
)For those familiar with the 3100, this model 3110 has a bigger display and much more compehensive readout (rather than having to reference the code in the manual, it shows what the code is).
It also has a pollution control readiness display which is handy for those visits to Drive-Clean.
For those interested, here's the EQUUS site with a full explanation on the 3110.
EQUUS INNOVA 3110.
GThirtyFive4Me-- the Reader that Gordgee refers to (3100) is on sale at CTC periodically for $150. -- regularly $200.
The one I just bought - the 3110, is regularly $400 but on sale periodically for $250. (here it was on 2 weeks ago at CTC).
A very handy tool and well worth the money.

Does anyone know if we can use these to diagnose ABS and SRS MIL's?

The 3030 is 'CAN' compatible, but apparantly there are a few different levels of 'CAN', and it wouldn't scan my Civic.
I had to go with the 3110 which is more money but with more features and versatility.
As to whether these will Dx ABS & SRS systems.....I don't know. If the code is fed thru the DLC port (to the scanner) and there is a readout, I would assume that we can, but I'm not sure.
Colin.
