G35 tilted to one side
G35 tilted to one side
I have a stock 2004 G35 coupe. Here's my issue: if I park on slightly uneven surface, the car tilts to one side big time. I've had this checked by 2 independent mechanics and both said that springs, shocks, bushings and everything seems fine. When the car is on perfectly even surface, as is the case usually at mechanics garage, it's not that bad but still noticable. When this happens it seems that the fender covers the wheel and looks like the wheel is tilted (negative camber). However there is no indication of tire wear at all. I ran out of ideas.. any suggestions ?? I was going to do an alignment but there's no way bad alignment can cause it.

Is it always one side that is sagging or depends on the surface and where the dip is on the parking spot.
Edit: Has the car ever been in a wreck..give me the vin so I can run an autocheck and see if there was ever an accident.

PM'ed you the VIN. Thanks! As far as I know no accidents. This is driving me crazy. I see other cars park in that parking spot every other day and their's is nothing similar to this. Also when the car is on perfectly even surface, the passanger side is not as high. This indicates that it's actually tilting and not just sagging on one side. Agh
Are all your tires the same make , what about thread left? Maybe its all in your head, GL. I had the same issue when parked in my yard, but realized my yard was layed at an angle for the rain to run to the front/sewer.
All same make and more or less same thread. I started noticing this on my other set of winter tires which are also all same make and on different set of rims.
By the way, when the car is in that position and I bounce the trunk, i hear a bit of squaking noise. When the car is on even surface, however, no squaking whatsoever.

Mine sort of does that...but definitely not to that degree. I know that a common problem is that people's passenger side is slightly higher. Mine is 1/4" higher, and when I park on a slight uneven surface that it gets more pronounced. But again...definitely nowhere NEAR what you've got going on.
Wow, that's a big difference. Passenger side gap looks like an X and the drivers side has no gap at all.
Is this with factory suspension components or have there been modifications?
Let's see the ground you are parking on which causes this.

This parking spot is more or less even too. Front driver side wheel goes on the grass, other 3 wheels are on the asphalt. I see other cars parked in this spot every other day and noone's car tilts as bad as mine. It's worth noting that when it tilts. the passenger side goes up

like first or second set of pictures ?
Obviously where you are parked makes up most of the difference based on your pictures. My G coupe had about 1/4" difference side to side. Measure it with a tape on a perfectly flat surface.
