new truck = cleaning

well guys i should be getting my new truck this weekend. its a 05 silver double cab taco! the truck is in good shape but since it has been Krowned the oil has seeped out around the seems and stuff. is there some things that help rub it off easier?

also what is a good wax to use before winter to seal the paint?

is it better to Krown it then wax it or the other way around?

thanks guys!!

I'd definitely Krown first, then wax. You can clean up residual Krown when waxing. Any diluted all purpose cleaner will remove the oil, if you run into a tough spot goo gone will tear it up.

For a winter wax Collinite 476s is a great recommendation. Easy to use, lasts a long time. Two coats will set you up for a solid 6+ months.

If you need stuff fast and don't feel like ordering from the net I tried out that Auto Glym last week, it goes on easy and comes off easy and leaves a nice shine. Crappy Tire started selling this stuff this year.

FWIW. guys with trucks/exposed frames, I just got a new SUV with an exposed frame, had some light surface rust - I hit it with Rust Killer (CND tire), turns rust into paintable primer, then hit with this:

...and it came out amazing. it was a shot in the dark for me but I it was totally worth it. looks good, seems to repel dirt super well, etc. and cheap

My friend uses that coating under his Jeep Wrangler and really likes it.
