Great pics Ian. I would love to drive a road like that some day. There are some similar in Northern Ont but not in that condition or with so much relief (elev).
That would be black. White is a combination of all colours.

We are talking about paint (pigment) not light.

When you're talking pigment then white is the absence of colour. You can't mix all your paints together and get white.
Clear light is the presence of all colors. You can separate them by wavelength using a prism and get a spectrum (rainbow).
Cheers

The Smoky Mtns are riddled with roads like this.

We actually stayed off the Dragon this year.
It's getting too crowded & has tons off POPO lurking in the weeds.
So in your personal opinion would you say the Smokey Mountains are better to go on than the Dragon? I'm just trying to figure out what best options are out there as I have not done either of these before.

So is it like the Forks of Credit where roads are all over the place and either you know which roads to take to stay in it or you venture to local traffic areas?

The Dragon is in the Smoky Mountains.
It's definitely a must do, if you've never been.
The other must do is the Cherohala Skyway, it's a better car road than the Dragon.
I have a Cherohala vid that I'll try to get posted tonight.

Think Forks of Credit on steroids x1000

Seemingly endless twists and turns....great fun.

I haven't seen those kind of smooth road surfaces for years.
