Parked my car in a nice upscale subdivision near a friends place in Toronto (SW corner of Yonge/Lawrence) yesterday around 9pm. Cabbed home from from Bier Market around 2am and immediately saw this

I looked around and noticed that about 10-12 cars had been screwed with. I got off easy in comparison to some of the other cars. Most of the other ones were spraypainted and dented too:

This car is had Virginia Plates. I would hate to have to drive all the way home with the hood looking like this...

All of the cars that were parked on the street behind me were hit the hardest. I think that maybe once the mirror was knocked off the alarm may have gone off and scared them away.
Anyways, called the police and made a report. My Comprehensive deductible is $500 so this is probably going to be a DIY repair for me.
Does anybody happen to have a Coupe passenger side mirror mount laying around? Or maybe they can point me in the right direction. I also have some need scuff marks from the mirror hitting the door - any tips for removing them?

I'm pretty sure the scratches will buff out no problem. They don't seem too deep. As far as the mirror mount is concerned - its definitely going to need to be replaced. The hard plastic cracked all the way through and in at least two pieces. There were also little shards that broke off so it would be impossible to make it align perfectly.

I managed to buff out the scratches that were left behind from the dangling mirror and took the mirror & mount off altogether. Using some duct tape I covered the hole to avoid any water/debris from getting in until I'm able to replace the side mirror with the new/used one. Taking the mount and mirror apart was pretty easy so now its just a matter of sourcing the used part, swapping the mounts (which will probably include cutting/crimping the wires) and putting it back on the G. All in all it'll probably cost $150 which isn't that bad at all.
It's still frustrating as **** though to have to go through. I remember doing some dumb ish as a kid - but never did it cross my mind to meet up with friends and vandalize everything in sight. What comes around goes around - I can only hope these kids get whats coming to them; except 10x worse.

I want to throw up when I see this. Sorry it happened to you- but on the plus side this usually happens by the hands of kids who get the **** kicked out of them daily and junking inanimate objects is their way of lashing out.
Really sick behavior though. People need to beat their kids a bit more.
