Seat recline problem

Hey guys,
have a little issue with my passenger seat, it will only recline backwards and wont go forward. Its in the fully reclined position right now. im assuming the motor is still working and it is just the gears or switch. Anyone have any experience with this, or know a good place where i can fix it (without going to the dealer and replacing the whole seat) ??? its a 2005 g35 coupe.

thanks in advance!!!

If it works one way, then switch or relay most likely

i dont think youd need a new seat probably just a loose connection below the seat. maybe somebody accidentally shoved there foot below.

or

motor?

I had a seat tilt problem awhile back on the driver's seat, dealer wanted me to replace the whole seat bottom at a cost of close to $800. I did a little bit of digging around, turns out our seats have three motors underneath that control the separate functions, but Infiniti will not just sell you any of the motors separately. I managed to find someone who replaced their seat under warranty and had the extra seat motors lying around. Ended up costing me $30 to fix.

I would suggest that you call some scrapyards and see if they have the seats or motors.

Neither of my seats go forward or back, I guess it must be a relay since both stopped? I usually have bigger issues I am working or sorting out so I haven't had a chance to look into it and my seat is set for me so it dosent bother me anyway but it is on my list.

speaking about seat problems my driver seat got jammed in its highest position and wont go down...luckily that's the way i usually like to sit...but i would prefer the option of being lower sometimes lol...anyone know what the problem might be?

Hey Sylvan, I know you are one of the most knowledgeable car guys on the forum and this might be way off but could it be something as simple as a fuse?

I have the same issue, except the passenger seat does tilt forward rarely. I have to play with the buttons.
