I'm using 370z 19s, which are 19x10 with a 30 offset, with 275/35/19 blizzaks for the winter for now, front are 19x9 and 245/40/19, also blizzaks.
I've done all the research and analysis about spacers, and its the same conclusion over and over; there is no greater sheer forces on the studs if the wheel is mounted (seated) properly. Any negative effects on wear (wheel bearings) would come from running a wheel of the offset your are trying to achieve in the first place.
Only concern with wheel spacers is quality of studs on the studded ones, which if you don't like them, get pass-through spacers with extended studs from ARP.
Should be mounting this set before Christmas, will try to get some pics up

i've done many track days in my cars with spacers, anywhere from 10-30mm, and so long as they are hub centric you're using ARP studs you are fine. I run them on the street and when Sasha (SG) bought his 350z race car it came with spacers for competition...
china studs will always fail. i've broken studs on Eibach, H&R and other spacers... get ARP studs and slip-ons or pound the studs out of the bolt-ons and keep the ARP studs. they will work with 25mm spacers an under.
