So I had a little accident...
Don't worry, the G is fine.
I, OTOH, have some minor body damage. Was out walking with Mrs. Swivel Friday morning, slipped on some ice, fell and broke my right elbow. I have sort of a half-cast I can take off to shower etc., but won't be driving or working for at least a few days. In some pain, but treating it with beer. So far so good. Let the broken hip jokes begin... :icon17: (and yes, I'm TWOH) |
Here's to a speedy recovery with the best liquid pain killer known to man! lol

Hey Wayne, sorry to hear about your mishap, but at least you have the right meds prescribed. :17:
Oh, & glad to hear Esmeralda is OK. You had me worried for a sec. |
Here's to a speedy recovery W1. Lots of elbow bends will be in order when you're in rehab to match the good one.
And TWOH is OK, don't want to know if you're WWOH too. :5091: |
Well... here we go. Your evolution has begun!
First we start with one of these... http://www.eorthopod.com/images/Cont..._surgery02.jpg Then probably one of these... http://www.zimmer.com/web/images/anatomy/hips/hip2.jpg Maybe one of these at some point.... http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/figures/A00221F01.jpg And before you know it... you'll look like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...tfire-rotf.jpg That'll be SO cool. Next year perhaps? On a SERIOUS note- I think the end justifies the means in this situation. Enjoy the down time... knowing you, you've probably earned it. This will give you the time to put enough money together to buy Dustin's car. |
Ha, I knew I could count on you guys for sympathy.
And I am NOT buying D's coupe. |
|
Ouch, that really bites Wayne. Any idea how long the recovery time might be? Hopefully not long at all. And most importantly, I hope you are still able to home brew! :D
|
I'll know more after I see the orthopedic guy, but probably several days in the splint, then a few weeks to get back to full range of motion. Assuming no surgery, which should not be necessary; it's not that bad an injury, though painful at first.
|
..."Was out walking"...
This was your first mistake. If you had of been driving the G then none of this would have happened . ;) I hope the bow heals quickly for you. |

Sorry to hear about your pain Wayne, but glad you've found the right stuff to speed the healing.
|
Might be time to check your self into an " old folks home" I heard they take care of you there. ;)
Hope you recover quickly. |
Sorry for your pain. Hopefully you'll heal quickly and it won't hamper your driving.
