WOW I need brakes already.....

I changed the wheels on the G Sat, I did a brake inspection because lately they've been feeling horrible when I brake, much to my surprise the front pads are almost gone! the car has 57k on it ......now you're probably thinking that's not too bad but when Ian had the car he had the Akebono brake kit on it so these were just stitting around.

That's pathetic for these pads to be worn out so early and the worst is Infiniti said its not covered inder warranty not that it matters much cause now I can upgrade the rotors and pads. EBC Rotors and green stuff pads will likely be my next setup thanks to my Boy Blain.

I had EBC rotors previously and I found them louder than others. And I drive my car everyday. I got a set up powerslot rotors which I think stoptech makes, and they are pretty good and quieter. Next time I think im going to go DBA rotors, which I think are the best for your money.

Stoptech slotted with hawk pads is my thoughts on bang for your buck. But tha'ts only going off what i have researched online. We will see. No more EBC for me though.

I went through a set of rotors and pads already at 48,000 kms but I blame it on my driving during my last 16,000 km road trip and playing on the twisties in the mountains in BC and Alberta. They were starting to heat up and fade pretty bad at times.

I'll give you the 20" wheels, but the clutch thread??? Did you actually read it? You might want to read it again about my driving habbits...
Why did you buy an Infiniti? Certainly not for driving.

Ok so if the EBC's suck what's your recomendations? I don't want to spend top dollar for big name brand rotors I just want a quality set of Rotors. Also I'm from the west ens so I'd rather not drive to Markham for brakes unless the deal is amazing.

I got brakes from Charles@b2autodesign. Just some cryo blanks, stoptech pads and ss lines.
Had them on for 1 day and I'm trying to get used to the brake feel. Haven't tried to slam my face into the steering wheel yet

Got the stoptech pads based on the long thread here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1927505

I generaly go through two sets of pads a year... (very late threshhold brakeing)
it will be interesting to see how the brakes wear...
I got the car with 80k on it and the Markham Infiniti put new pads on it
almost a year later i still have about 50% pad left... most of the credit goes
to the Brembos as they make more of the pad work and thus decentralize
most of the heat which is what makes pads wear more than anything else
the rest of the credit goes to me not pushing an unfamilar car as hard lol
