Asking for help installing my Brakes...Anyone?
OK now that I found my pads and Rotors I would like to try installing them with some help rather than me bringing it to a shop. I've pulled out pads before with minimal effort but when I tried replacing the rear pads on my beater 2 years ago I didn't know how to bring the piston back thus causing my rear brake to seize. I don't want to screw anything up on this car mainly cause I drive it to work everyday and can't afford to have it parked because of a screw up.
I know allot of you guys have done this before so I'm asking my fellow G members for some help/coaching on this job. I would prefer local KW Cambridge but if I have to drive to Mississauga or Hamilton I don't mind. OH and if a 24 case of beer or some cash is needed it would be the least I could do.
Thanks

I know Stephan (shineinmotion detailing guy) does it. He helped me with my X and I've seen him do a whole new setup on a few other vehicles. He's busy with detailing but might help for a very fair price. Unfortunately, he doesn't drink so the '24' idea probably won't fly.
I will be helping him shoot some video for his website today. I can ask him if you like.

I'm not sure about the G but for the Maxima I know there was a sort of 'tool' that was needed to wind back in the rear caliper. If the previous car you did work on was a Nissan, it could've been just that the rear brakes were total garbage and that's why it siezed (rather than human error). I replaced the calipers on my 97 a few years ago and could've sworn they siezed up again probably 1-2 years later...
