1. he has a revup

2. the mrev2 alone has slightly better gains than the spacer alone, on a non-rev, the difference is the cost. not twice the gains for twice the price, that's why most non-revs skip it. this info has been posted time and time again, i don't know how all this misinformation stays alive.

from Tony himself

When used with on the non-REVUP engine, the gains are very similar to that of the 5/16" spacer but the MREV 2 Manifold will show a slightly lower peak value, with a slightly higher average value and a slightly higher TQ value. Overall, MREV 2 Manifold provides "area under the curve" and is the highest gain plenum mod available.

My Seibon TT Carbon Fiber Front Lip is sitting in my garage for a month now, so that's probably the next thing
Here's the lip: http://seiboncarbon.com/store/produc...ssan-350z.html
Then, I need to go back to Johnny Motorsport to re-tune my car, because the tune has not been adjusted since I installed headers and replaced TP's by HFC's.
Then, will see!

Maybe because Tony's inconsistent in his posting though i've never seen the quote you posted before:

http://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhau...up-engine.html

"Here you go.

Baseline, Spacer, MREV2 and Spacer with MREV2 all tested on the G35 Sedan with the non revup engine.

Note: The MREV2 is labeled as "MMP" in the graph legend.

It makes a difference but nothing like it does on the REVUP engine.
"

I've seen a lot of Rev-ups just getting the lower plenum from DE's.

1. if you read properly you would've noticed I was responding to v1nc86's comments who responded to another poster asking if it was useful for a non-revup.

2. see above.

you say it's "pretty much useless" then you recommend a spacer w/less gains? cost effective? no, useless? no gain

Here let me explain how to read the chart. I thought it was pretty self explanatory, however I have been proven wrong.:

1) There's a line, (green) which shows the gains for the spacer alone.
2) There's another line (red) with the spacer and MREV2.
3) Look at the difference between the two.
4) Read my post and the post in the link I posted, by Hydrazine, which I copied for you in this thread.

I guess your flawed logic is where you could look at the yellow line to make your conclusion that the MREV2 is useful if you don't intend at getting a spacer at all, however I just bypassed that illogical thought altogether since a reasonable person would get the spacer at less than half the price since it produces nearly the same power and after the spacer, it's obvious that the MREV2 provides nominal gains over the spacer alone on the DE.

Hopefully that's simple enough to understand now. If it isn't, I don't know what is...
