I saw a 135, with a Matt black paint job, looked pretty good from a few car lengths but as we got closer I said did he plasti dip his car? I then saw the "Dip your car" thing and when I passed him with the sun on it, it looks like crap, you can see the spray lines and it wasn't all even. Though he could of used a crappier process.

PlastiDip is the only way I wld ever apply a Matte finish to my car. Matte paint jobs are ridiculously expensive and extremely easy to destroy from every day driving. Looked really good on that M3.

I have seen a local truck was done that way, it looks good. He had lots left over and wanted to do my car, But I don't think the drability is there and to mask things is a nightmare when you remove the tape it peels the P dip. I thought about it, the amount I drive my car it might hold up for a full year.

I just watched the whole vid, the masking seems to go a lot better for them than it did for me, the car looks great but like I said the durability makes me wonder? I am going to see how long the local guys truck lasts. I have a black Sierra that I painted the chrome bumpers black and it bubbled up with in a week from bugs and pressure washing.

Yea, I'm already questioning the durability of P-Dip on my grille... just can't see it lasting (my front end is 3M'ed... I drive a lot of hwy). I think I might add some P-Dip Glossifier to it and see how it holds up thru the winter.

It's great for testing, but if it doesn't maintin just peel then paint. Nice ot have that flexability.
