Battle Ground Performance is shady

Hey everyone so I dont normally start new threads, but I really think you should all hear this. So my friend calls me last week asking me about something he was about to get done at battlegroundperformance <- thats in the GTA for those of you who dont know. Anyway, the guy he spoke with for one quoted him $300 to PAINT HIS CALIPERS ... So I figured hey maybe hes bleeding all the brakes and doing one hell of a paint job right? So I call BGP myself and ask how much it would be to have my calipers painted, for one right off the bat he said $250 so that instantly shouted scam to me, and then when I asked him if they bleed the brakes when they remove the caliper this guy got confused and started stuttering hes like what do you mean? -_- WTF? So I asked again, do you guys not bleed the brakes? And hes like yeah yeah we do that. So long story short, my take is this _sshole paints the damn caliper while its on the car and charges people for no good reason. So think twice about going there lol buyer and customers beware!

Any actual experience with the shops work? Or is this opinion being made by someone who answered their phone?

^ Same question. This doesn't seem like a fair assessment which should be based on proper research or actual work performed.

Im 21 Equivocal, why would this make you shake your head? I dont want anyone to get ripped off, how is looking out for other people useless? Keep your negative comments to yourself. @Dream yeah he had no idea literally started stuttering. I know a guy from my old workplace who paid this guy 3000$ in labour for installing a turbo on his TSX and the thing was pissing oil all over the place, eventually his head gasket cracked which according to him was 2 months after getting the turbo. Im not out to bash on the guy, im looking out for other G owners!

Was it the owner you spoke to? How do you know exactly that they don't remove the calipers for painting? And a mere $50 difference doesn't say much

Zero work was done to your car by this shop and your basing everything off a phone call. It is POSSIBLE that there was just a misunderstanding. I'm not taking sides with the shop but what your going off of is inadequate IMO.

Not gonna lie, I let my co-op kids answer the phone lol

I personally wouldn't make a thread with the title of such calling the company out and calling them shady with no direct experience other than a phone call and what you've heard through a friend.

By the looks of it, you don't get this far by not knowing what bleeding is....

@ g35m6 np homie

@Shane-O-Mac Yeah im not stupid enough to pay someone to paint my calipers lol

@herrschaft & @4DGS Maybe it wasnt the owner im not sure, but my point is that i felt like i had a shady experience and i dont want anyone getting ripped off ... First of all 2 calls in the same day and a $50 dollar difference in the price quotation? And having the audacity to charge people $300 to paint calipers when you dont know what bleeding brakes are, i feel thats shady, just wanted others to know about this experience consider it a review if you will.

-Peace

Like we're saying, to have write a review or voice opinion of someones ability. I would definitely want some hands on experience and a direct issue with the guys at the shop. Not a quick quote over the phone.

Painting calipers is shady. It won't last on old *** rusty calipers anyways. Just buy the DIY kit from CT for $20. You'll probably need to redo them every few months anyways.

If you really want coloured calipers, you need to have them powdercoated for durability.
