Hey guys, my 06 coupe acted up recently (weak crank, at one point i had to feed some gas to keep the engine going from crank, high mount LED is intermittent, etc) - I'm thinking it's time to replace the battery which may cause these issues..

Where do you guys get your batteries from? I know it has to be a certain CCA cold crank amps, etc. and have to install it in reverse

I keep coming across Optima red or yellow top, Duralast gold, etc...but can't seem to find any of this here in the GTA...

I checked walmart/canadian tire but i'm not sure of those brands..

 

Any battery will work. If you dont have an aftermarket stereo or live in a really cold place, just buy whatever is cheapest.

 

Any autoparts store carries batteries. I'm fairly certain they have a database that tells them which model of batteries should be used for different vehicles if needed.

 

consumer reports had a great report on car batteries.

there are only a few actual battery manufacturers and a dizzying array of brand names. I believe the batteries sold under the costco and walmart brands were good.
