Good tuner in western Canada?

Fellow Canucks, anyone know of or has recent experience with a good tuner in Western Canada? Preferably Alberta or maybe Saskatchewan?

I am looking at going FI with my 2007 G35 coupe but the difficulty in finding a tuner is putting me off the whole FI path.

I would even consider a US tuner located in Montana, Idaho etc.

I looked on Uprev's site and they show fro Alberta Westers garage and Lightspeed.

Having contacted Westers a while back about programming my 2008 Titan he told me he does uprev but not really. and that it makes very little difference. Hmmm not exactly the worlds best salesman...

As for Lightspeed, a friend got his RX7 vipek through them years ago and was happy with them but they didn't tune it. Also heard they are not the best programmers for the VQ from other sources.

Opinions? Options? Help a fella out!

I would contact Eno on this forum and ask about his experiences

Successfully tuning FI on a 5AT is entirely different than just reflashing a Titan..

They're awesome and they were my go-to shop when I was on the coast- but doing inter-provincial stuff for a little extra lift off and mid range is major overkill- nevermind going to the states.

It's fine if it's a leisurely drive down the TC, a build and a tune followed by a leisurely drive back home... if anything goes wrong during that time- which it VERY often can with these types of things- the costs pile up exponentially even above and beyond already signficant expenses involved in getting things back on track.

There is a group tune going on at the end of June at Horsepower Solutions. The Edmonton Z Car Club brings in two tuners from Specialty Zee for this event. You simply can't get a better tune in Western Canada than that....and yes I have seen the before and after's with a lot of customers that have had their cars tuned by the shops you have mentioned. Simply put, no comparison.

You can contact Rob for more info; http://www.edmontonzcarclub.com/pages/main.html

Interesting... I know with some of these they have preferred tuning software and in others simply won't tune particular programs...

Any chance a G could get in on this...

I guess I should just contact Rob... but you have my curiosity.

Lightspeed has tuned more boosted VQs than anyone else in Western Canada. Other than flying in tuners they are your best local option.

Hi all, Same question on a good tuner but in Mississauga / Toronto area? I checked out Simone Performance, but they are about an hour from me. Any other places who are good at tuning our G's?
Thanks

Cam at lightspeed just solved a year long tuning issue I've had in about 30 minutes- using the uprev software. Like sylvan mentioned above he has a really solid foundation of knowledge built on experience with tuning...

I tried tunerworks in Calgary but they were unwilling to help me to solve this same problem. Oh? I'm upRev? Oh I'm an AT? No go.

Lightspeed, on the other hand, ran with it and had me running on all cylinders again in no time.

If you can get to red deer then do it. Highly recommend.

I just did some Cipher logs and sent them to Uprev. When I figure out which FI route to go, I will get the guys at lightspeed to tune it. Hopefully next spring. I was going to this summer but a faulty Bosch dishwasher caught fire and tried to burn my house down. So I get to reno my kitchen now before I boost.

Hopefully by then you'll have gotten bored with the idea and spent the money elsewhere.
