Tint in the T.O area

Anyone know of a good reputible tint shop in the Toronto area?
If you have had your windows done, how much did you pay and what, if any, were the different choices of tint to choose from?

Re: Tint in the T.O area

I had that done in the dealer when I pick up my G, it's not that bad in terms of the price $299, my friends were worrying whether I got ripped, but after I told them the price, they said that's not bad then.

Re: Tint in the T.O area

I brought my G35 Coupe to Tint Fx, which is located near Markville Mall in Markham. Did 35% tint with premium film, cost me $250, and I am very satisfy with the result.

I have my 2000 323i done at Tint King by Dufferin + Steels. They did a great job on the bimmer .... and I've had no problems to date. They use Llumar tint (one of the best) and it has a lifetime warranty.

Re: Tint in the T.O area

Had my coupe done thru the dealer in Barrie North of GTA.

Cost me $200 which was supposed to be his cost. Paid cash & am very satisfied, as with my 5 previous cars done with the same arrangement and dealer.

I also got my tinting done at FX Auto, (www.fxauto.com), contact Wayne. I got the 30% Comfort grade tint and very satisfied with the results. The price was $250.00 This place does alot of jobs for car ownerclubs. I was referred to FX Auto by friends that belong to the Toronto Subaru Club who are all just as **** about quality as us about their set of wheels.

***HELPPP***

ERRRR.... I just scratched my tinting on driver side window... it's big like 2" and NEED to be fixed... I can't see myself driving my scratch tint coupe on the road... anyone know how much roughly to tinted one window for 35% in the dealership??? My friend said should be under $100... Would there be a diff of the color if I do in different place, I did mine in the dealer...

Re: Pricing confirmation

Doesn't hurt to ask a dealer to get an idea of costs. Contact Jerry of Yorkville Infiniti Service and I'm sure he'll be able to help you out. Tel. (416) 975-2623. Jerry's also part of this forum. You can also ask FX Auto where I got my tint done. They're very good and professional. My buddies that belong to the Subaru Club of Toronto all go there to get their tinting done; and they're all just as **** as us G35 owners when it comes to keeping our ride looking 100%. Hope this helps.

Re: Pricing confirmation

Why not just go back to where you got your car tinted? At least you should go back and find out which brand of film they are using, and use the same brand and % to re-tint your glass.

Re: Pricing confirmation

duhprez,

You said you tint your car at Tint Fx,right? Is there any bubbles near those dot area on the rear windshield?

Mines doesn't stick on those dots very well, and thinking if there is any chances they can help me to fix it.

Rear Window Tint

Yep, I have an uneven tint coverage on the top of the rear window on the dot area. I thought I would give it a few weeks to sit under the sun so it would give the water or air to evaporate. If it doesn't work, I was going to ask FX what's up with the tint on the dots. Maybe this is a common problem on all G35C's rear window.

Overall, however, the job FX did was really good.

If it bothers you, I would recommend you to make a visit and ask the guys at FX. Let me know what they say if you do.

Hey guys, I got my car tinted back in November and I still have the same problem. It is not noticeable in the day but at night, it is not clear at all. Let me know what you guys find out.
