It's definitely a clean look. I'm sure the Japanese manufactures will come up with lower lip kits or even a full body kit. Would like real nice.

Lexus GS? Psssshhhhhhh...get outta here!!

whoah... how do u clean your car then? i can't wash it by hand in the winter... i don't even have my hose hooked up lol. in the end it's just a car to me, a couple of swirl marks is inevitable... i just go with the flow. but seriously, what other options do i have?

I take it to a hand car-wash place. Yeah, in the end it's just a car...but swirls just looks so bad on a black car. I swore I wouldn't buy another black car, but I just had to get my G35 in black too.

I know what you mean, I had one black car & swore the same thing.
Came close a couple of times but so far no more black.

What really did it for me was going down to the underground garage
after the weekend to find that a crack in the concrete slab above
left a nice calcium deposit etched into the paint.
Ended up repainting the hood.

Hey, Colin this pic is for you.
This what your front spoiler is going to look like.
Doesn't look like ground clearance will change much.
Hi Ian, Isn't that an effective pic.....and yes now I can see that the new 'lip' fits onto the existing part, and only extends down slightly more than OEM.
I'm relieved.

I got the same clear bra installed today that Wayne has: 3M Trim-Line (across the leading edge of the hood and onto the fenders) and got the mirrors covered for free because I went there (Mississauga) for the install.
I'll post some pics when she's a little cleaner to show their handiwork.

......and then the body kit from Yorkville INfiniti....can't wait for that.

Great drive to 3M Trim-Line at Dixie and Drew in Mississauga. Just dusty and no wet. Lucky.

Thanks for the pic. It helps to whet my appetitie for that aero kit.

Colin.

Yah, It's a pain to do, but as Wayne says, I get the hose out even in winter, hook up the hot water in the garage, and rinse her off b4 putting her to bed.
I mostly like to get the ice and slush from the wheel-wells and under the rocker covers so as not to mess up the garage.
It's not very pratical to do, but I take the time anyway, and having a garage with hot water is great too.

My wife has a very light tan Pontiac that never seems to be dirty. Black, well you know. My red car and burgundy jeep show a lot of dirt too.

Yeah we sure need a break with the weather.
Yes the lighter colours are great for not showing the dirt much. Actually mine wasn't very clean at all, but it looks good because the silver doesn't show much.

Ian's and Wayne's G-Sedans were clean and up close they outshone my M by far.

Gosh dang, You guys are still getting dumped on down there. You must feel really picked this year......
Spring is less than a week away so better weather can't be far behind. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Colin.

I'm sure your mini meet was a welcome primer to get the juices flowing for serious car weather to come.
We had about 15cm of sonw Sunday and another 6-7 cm last night. It won't stop so don't know when our spring will happen.

Canuck, our premium gas here is 97.9 Ouch. 3 cents less on Thursdays though.
Ouch- I'll have to bring a few extra $$ with me this spring for go-go juice. That is pricey isn't it.
Well worth the trip tho.....I'm really looking forward to our Moncton meet.
Colin.

How much did it cost you if you don't mind my asking? How does it look? Can you tell it's there?

Hey Balzz, for the M, the hood and fender kit extends for about a foot from the leading edge of the hood back. The front portion of the fenders get similar treatment to complete the front.
I chose not to get the bumper done; apparantly most of the damage is done up higher. John Arthur included the mirror coverings for free. (a $50 value.)
The hood kit is $250 for my car, slightly less for the G's. I believe their site lists the G's for about $210.
The guarantee is 5yrs. and these guys (and gals) are very easy to deal with.

There is a 'line' across the hood, but it's done so well and blends excellently that it is almost seamless.
Overall a great experience, and seamingly well installed and guaranteed.

If you contact them, tell John about G35Driver.com and that you want an extra discount for membership. I told him all about our club.\

Here's their website with all the details and pricing........3M TRIM-LINE

I spoke to our local Trimline a few months about doing my G when its out of hibernation. They've got some good experience and seem to be the only guys around here anyhow. He ballparked my car over the phone at $500 for hood, fenders and bumper saying he had done a 350Z for that. If that's right I may get mirrors done too but I'm sure when I go there it will be more.

Colin.

Doesn't that M run just on air and water???
Our gas prices are likely more than yours and the best available is 91. Prices really fluctuate quite a bit though from about 89 to 98 usually around 94 or so.

Colin, I like the subtle sig change.

Here's my wheels. If you look closely you'll see a person inside. That's me!!

I wish it ran on something other than dino......but alas for now we'll have to make do.
I run my rides on 91 and they've performed well so far. The C/R on the M is a little higher at 10.6:1 but I'm expecting 91 to be fine. It's all that's required.

We had low 90's/liter here a while back but generally it's in the 75-85 cent range.

Great looking ride Deane. I've still got a soft spot for red. In many ways I miss it, having lived with it for over 25 yrs.
Too much reflection to see you behind the wheel. We'll have to wait for a better picture.

Trim-Line looks like a good outfit with good product. If you can get all that coverage for $500, go for it. That's a good price. Here they wanted another $400 to do the bumper.

C.
