Gas Mileage

Well I am not overly concerned about gas mileage I am curious what most people are getting on a tank of gas? Fueled up my car for the first time yesterday 3/4 tank at 460km. I am guessing that I would end up at around 550km or so on a full tank (didn't want to push the vapour barrier with long weekend gas prices ahead)

Thanks

G

Re: Gas Mileage

with 50/50 hwy/city I'm averaging 24 mpg CDN (11.4 l/100km). Shell 91 works best for me. Can Tire 91 the poorest.

Light comes on around 600 Km.

Re: Gas Mileage

That's pretty good. My first tank gave me around 16l/100km. My second tank gave me around 14l / 100km. I'm hoping that when i'm through my break-in period, my mileage will improve even more. I fill up using shell 91.

Re: Gas Mileage

My first tank was 16.4L/100km, I'm now averaging 13.8 since I bought the car. I noticed milage increased significantly at 3500km around mid March. I'm not sure whether it was the break-in period or the warmer weather that improved it.. I suspect it was the warmer weather since they put less additives in the gas in the spring.. I think?

Re: Gas Mileage

With a full tank, mostly highway driving in 6th gear going 120-130 km/hr, I got a range of 625 km before the gas light came on. Filled up with Esso Premium.

Re: Gas Mileage

All reasonable. This is a sports car, not an anemic econobox.

Re: Gas Mileage

To hell with the mileage

It's more fun to enjoy the car and punch it whenever you want than to worry about gas mileage.

You only go by this way once ENJOY.

Re: Gas Mileage

Hi,

I am very upset about the fuel consumption on this car...most people say that they get about 240-380Miles per tank...I get about 281 if I am lucky. That is I barely get about 425-450 (at 450 the light has been on for a while). I typically use Shell 91. I have taken it to the dealership, and escalated this to infiniti and no go...my driving is about 25-35% hwy, and rest is city, and my average EPA is about 14.3-14.8L/100KM and that is driving it nicely!!!!! Any ideas, or thoughts????!!!!!

Re: Gas Mileage

my car only has 1300kms so i really can't say how the fuel economy is going to be in the long run - but as it is - YIKES!!! This sucker eats gas for breakfast and it looks like it's gonna be a pricey ride to keep full. oh well - what can ya do...this ain't a K-car. Sunoco 94 is my fave - but Shell 91 works fine too.
