Rear Brakes clicking noise

I have an 03 Sedan and I've been having this problem for a while. After 15 mins of driving, I start to hear a clicking sound from my rear brakes. I've taken this in a few times to the dealership and they told me that I need the brakes services. I was told the mechanism is sticking and causing this sound as I depress on the brakes.

They performed the service twice so far and it goes away. After about a month or two, it comes back again. I called the dealership again and they said, it needs to be serviced. That does not make sense to me, why do the brakes need to be serviced so many times?

I think it's something else, but wanted to make sure before I talk to the dealership. So I was wondering, has anyone else experienced this issue? Or any recommendation on what I should do?

Btw, I'm a little over 70,000 kms, so no more brake warranty.

Thanks in advance for your help / advice.

Clicking, a couple of questions????

Does it occur when pressing the pedal or while driving?
Did you notice if it starts after you press the pedal once, or
does it start by itself?

It occurs only when I depress the pedal and goes away when I release the pedal or come to a stop.

Basically, the moment I touch the brakes, I start to hear this noise.

Does it click as the wheels rotate?
or just click as you press the pedal?

BTW...
You'll notice I'm good at asking questions, but a little short on answers
Nothing jumping out at me yet.....

Also, you might try a post in the technical section for more response

No worries about your questions, I do appreciate your help!!

When I depress on the Brakes as the car is in motion, this clicking starts to happen. So yes, it's only when the wheels rotate when I press on the brakes. The service department told me before it was the Brake Mechanism that was sticking and causing this sound. That is why they need to service the brakes. I never heard of servicing brakes so often, that is why I think it's something else.

I'll post this in the Technical section shortly. I thought I would start with my fellow Canadian G Drivers first!!

Maybe Jerry could chime in and offer some help. Maybe I'll shoot him an email.

I tend to agree that it's not just a regular service item.
It shouldn't re-occur so quickly.

One more ?
Do you get a click, click, click under light pressure
& does it go away with firm pressure?

On light pressure, it's very faint or some times does not come up. It's only when the car is slowing down while I'm braking.

Last night as I was pulling my car in the garage, I could hear it click twice as I was pressing lightly on the brakes.

My turn to ask a question!

Another member mentioned that it's the rear axle. I thought this only applied to the Coupes not the Sedans? Do you know if this applies to the Sedans as well?

I think that the rear axels are the same, except the
models that limited slip.

I went to check the list of TSB and found one for the Rear axle problem, but it says it's only for the Coupe.

I'm still scratching my head on this???

This may be totally out to lunch, but...
The only thing I can come up with is bearings.
Maybe the brakes adding that little extra loading that makes a click

If that's the case, wouldn't I have a problem engaging my e-brake?

On another note, thanks to both of you for your suggestions, especially inTgr8r, you've been trying and have shown a real genuine interest in helping me out. I guess no one else has had this issue, so I'll have to take it to the dealer and see what they can find.

I'll keep you posted once I find out what the problem is.

No you wouldnt have a problem, because the other brake on the other wheel would still work. You should really check it out.. Actually mines came loose, and I got it repaired from the dealership. When I drove it made a clickinging noise, when I would stop it wouldn't make any.
