A lot of people here swear by Zaino, but the time and effort is just too much for me.
Can I buy the p/c 7336 at Home depot...whats the damage...what would I need If done buy hand, aside from more time...

You've got a white car! You could buff it with sandpaper and it'll still look good.

I picked it up from carcaresmart.com. Gsedanman and I think one other person from here did too. If you're just applying wax, you'll just need a lot of time; but if you're using something with a little cut, you'll need some pretty strong arms to work it properly.

Ya man....the Porter Cable is like having an army of helpers.....

so far Balzz, 35Bills and I have one, (that I know about), and GEE35X (Wayne) has one on order. A great addition to the detailing cabinet.

Our local Home Depot doesn't sell them any more, tho CTC does but they're more $ than Carcaresmart. Trouble is Wayne found out that Carcaresmart is backordered on that item.

Burnt.... as Colin mentioned I now have a PC 7336SP ordered from carcaresmart.com. Like the others have said they are great to deal with, and seem to offer the best price and have free shipping. One of the other fellows here (35Bills) has a PC 7424 and he really likes it. It is the same basic unit with a lighter counterweight. I have been told there might be a bit less vibration with the heavier counterweight in the 7336 model. I have seen the PC 7424 in my local CTC store for $249. Carcaresmart.com is selling the PC7336 for $198 (but it presently sold out) and the PC7336SP for $208 (which is what I have on order and they threw in an extra polishing pad for me at no charge). PM me if you have any more questions.

Hey Burnt...

Like the others have said, I own the 7424 P/C. I purchased it from Crappy Tire last year. I'm not to sure about the counter weight being any different than the other P/C mentioned.
I'm going to order some pads from www.carcaresmart.com .
Alas I haven't used the machine this year. I've got to get some minor body work done( kind of backed into a fence during one of the earlier snowstorms this year).

Balzz...

Where did you get your Meguires supplies?

Cheers!!!

Got lucky and picked them up at CTC. They don't usually carry the professional series but I found them at the Dufferin/Finch autocentre. I picked up S100 from a harley dealership near my place. It's actually P21S, but it's rebadged as S100 at the harley dealership and sells for half the price. Amazing top coat...might even work well with Zaino.

Balzz,

Did you get your pads at CTC or some other place? The CTC near me( Leslie and Sheppard) doesn't carry any decent top end products. They have NXT but I would like to stay away from the synthetics for now( just my thoughts) until they have been around for awhile.

I got the kit from carcaresmart.com but I found the propel pads to be better and picked them up from here - http://www.exceldetail.com/

Nice finish Balzz!! I have a black sedan that I am looking to do the same thing with. I purchased a bunch of Zaino products last month and am just waiting for a nice weekend to dedicate my polishing to. It snowed last night and is supposed to be 10C and rainy all weekend so it doesn't look like it will be this weekend!!
