Question on Getting Mods/Parts from USA

Hey Guys,

This is a repost of something I put on a thread in the tech/modifications forum.

I am interested in the 3/8ths spacer...but does anyone know a solution to shipping to Canada? Their site says via UPS but I understand their (UPS) brokerage fees etc are crap and greatly increase the cost to us poor cousins. Ideally I suppose, can one ship to a US PO BOX and then slip over the border pick it up and do the install on the street before slipping back over the border? Hate paying the tax man, customs man, or brokerage man Anyone done this?

____
So, I though I would ask my fellow Canadians what they have done in terms of ordering parts from the USA and whether there is any preferred method of shipping or alternate ways to reduce brokerage fees etc. Any Canadian experience?

Tony shipped my spacer out via Fedex and brokerage + taxes came up to 12 CAD. I find Fedex charges to be lower than Canadapost brokerage charges.

Where do you order from?

does Motordyne have a website? I tried googling it but only found discussion threads talking about it, not the actual site itself.
Thanks,
Al

Sud, did you order yours yet? I'm thinking of getting one too. I wonder if any other Canadians might be interested.

Not yet Deane, but I am ready to do so any time. I'd like to get in on the group buy, but I think those are now limited to premier members...sigh. Trying to get all my initial purchases figured out: Z tube, maybe K&N, grounding gear, 3/8 spacer, splash guards, clear corners...and just to prove that I have gone psychotic after only a few days with the G...some Volks rims, front lip, and some form of lowering. Apparently I have gone insane.

I received my clear corners, Z-tube and spacer the day before I picked up the car. Groundinggear followed 2 weeks later.

Did anyone consider the AAM angled spacer?
There's a thread on MY350Z
AAM SPACER
and
Dyno info from old group buy

What I thought was interesting is that it is angled...
suposed to get more air to the front 2 cly which run lean.
Interesting theory, but don't know if it's any better
