Re: Toronto Meet/My Really Bad Day
thanks so much for all your heartfelt responses...it's great that an online community can gather up so much support. My wife and I really appreciate all your kind words.

I really hope they can fix my car properly, because it looks like they are not totalling it. apparently, the hit was high, so the frame was not damaged (prelimenary report). i hope the car doesn't develop new squeaks and rattles as a result of this.

one weird thing...my CD changer no longer works...it gives the error message CD ERR FO

Re: Toronto Meet/My Really Bad Day
Hey bro, Don't worry about the car. They'll fix her up good as new. If the frame is ok then the damage is more or less cosmetic. The car is so new even the paint will match perfectly.
The CD changer prolly jambed when you got hit. It doesn't take much to generate that error message. Was it on when the accident happened? In any case, if you need a new one, they'll fix that too.
Good luck with your and your wife's rehab, and with the legal matters. Stay in touch with us, we'd like to know how things are going............L8r bro.

Re: Toronto Meet/My Really Bad Day
OMG!!! $13000??? It doesn't look like hv that much damage. But insurance company will pay for that anyways, don't worry.

Only the frame damage....It is the worst thing for a rear wheel drive car. Hopefully if you get a good body shop and the damage isn't that much (especially the axle..)

Good luck~

Re: Toronto Meet/My Really Bad Day
OUCH,
hope they'll do a great job and have the car back to new.
maybe u can get some aftermarket stuff put on instead of factory.....for example if they have to replace the exhaust, and maybe u can also get a spoiler out of it (that is if u want one)
keep us posted

Re: Toronto Meet/My Really Bad Day
apparantly the exhaust was unscathed...i thought they would have had to replace it for sure. my cd player has to be changed, and also i scratched the door trim when i hit it during impact.

Re: Toronto Meet/My Really Bad Day
Let me also add my late wishes to you and your wife.. It is amazing how much is costs to repair a car, but that's what insurance in for.. I was in a minor accident, $4000 in repairs to a car that I ended up selling shortly after for $3500! That's how cars are designed now.. crumple zones so it takes the impact, not you. Hope everythings turns out ok.

Re: Toronto Meet/My Really Bad Day
Sorry for the loss. I feel your pain. If you don't mind me asking, who did you get to do the repairs and do you know if the Infinity warranty is still in effect? I was just wondering if Infinity is the place to go for the repairs because someone told me that insurance people generally restrict you to a select few "recommended" shops.
