Since I just got mine I was wondering if anyone in Alberta would be interested in doing a meet? I know that here in Edmonton they are selling faster than they are getting them in....hopefully it's the same thing in Calgary. I would like to suggest that we meet in Red Deer...half way between the two cities and only 1.5 hours from either.

If any are interested post here and lets see the G spirit.

Oh btw does anyone here drive a black sedan with the aero package and works on 170th street in edmonton? I pass it a lot as I work just up the road. Oh if most of the ppl who reply to this live in edmonton maybe we should just do an edmonton meet. Gordgee who did you buy your G from? I'm assuming Erickson but was it Warren or Mike?

Hmmm....well I guess this idea died in a hurry. There just aren't enough G35 owners on this forum that live in Alberta yet. We should go to the dealers we bought our cars at and let them know about these forums so that they can inform all potential buyers.

That's probably a good idea gord....I'll post again in this thread at the beginning of January and see what the response is. Could you get some of those guys in freshalloy to come over here so we could co-ordinate this all better?

Well it is the new year and everyone is beginning to settle down from their hectic schedules. I would like to again see if anyone is interested in a meet for Alberta (Edmonton, Calgary, possibly some Red Deer) to meet in Red Deer. This would be open to everyone on the forums who wish to come...whether they've had the G for a year or have just ordered and are waiting or are just even thinking about it. Lets see how many ppl are interested in doing this in February over the Family Day long weekend maybe?

Hey Ed, I've got mine ordered, doesn't come til summer though. I would still be interested in a meet though. It would be nice to talk to current owners so I have a good idea about what to expect from my car. BTW, mine is a 6mt coupe. Can't wait for it.

 

Well gordgee and I have been talking and we are going to meet just for coffee or something on the west end at the chapters on 170th st. beside the Toys r us. coupeman you and anyone else is free to join us and hopefully more ppl will come. We should really talk to warren about promoting this site when he sells cars.

Just looked in the phonebook EdRedS. Alternative location for the meet could be at the Second Cup at South Edmonton Common (9832-23 Ave). Across the street is the PartsSource that has the supply of PIAA and SilverStar bulbs for us to look at. I haven't talked to him yet, but it's possible that Leo might be able to give us a deal for anyone that wants lights or something. Also, you never know, maybe someone might come up from Calgary (kencody?) or somewhere and is more convenient. Either location is good for me. Those interested, which location is more convenient?
