Body Shop
Body Shop
Sigh...my wife managed to scratch up the G against some parking post and now the passenger side is badly damaged. Just wondering if any of you guys know any good body shop other then the dealer in GTA with a decent price. Thanks.

Re: Body Shop
I know one that does great work, but they charge quite a bit. Ask AceIt since he just got his bottoms sprayed. I'd suggest that you get your lower valances painted at the same time while ur at it.

Re: Body Shop
Thanks Rumble. I'll PM ACeIt. Since my car is already black, I actually never mind the lower molding's color if that's what you are talking about.

Re: Body Shop
Thanks Bill. Do you mean by Golden Mile Collision & Refinishing? The one at Eglington & Victoria Park area?

Re: Body Shop
Today I picked up my car after the body shop work is done. The bodyshop of choice is called BBR Sportsline, located near the intersection of Dennison/Esna Park. All in all, I am pretty happy with the way it came out. The car was ready in 2 days after I sent it in on the past Monday. The total cost is $750 ( $700 labor/paint, $50 part, which is the side molding strip).
I am happy with the result, except one minor issue that I am still trying to sort out with the shop. The side strip molding aparently is glued to the door via double sided tape ( no wonder some guy already pulled off all 4 pieces easily without leaving marks ). And after the fix, if you look down closely from the top side of the strip, you can see a noticable gap between the strip and the door, the width is probably around 1mm. I think I can even see the tape inside that holds the strip and the door together. Now all the original side strips seem to be perfectly attached to the door without any visible gap. The reason the shop gave me was because of the tape used to fix mine can't be perfectly matched with the original factory tape ( a little thicker??), hence the gap. What do you guys think? Am I being too picky here? Should I get a second opinion on this from some other shop or dealer? Did any of you ran into any similar experience on your previous cars? Aside from the fact that the gap reminds me of this unfortunate incident, I am also concern that the rain drops, dirt or car wash solutions get caught and build up in the strip so give it time, it is more likely to be damaged or come off then the 3 original ones.
