Suggestions on a new Pickup truck
I sold my Type R today, so now I am on the hunt for a pickup truck. The redneck in me is finally coming out. Seriously though since I am a "NEWBIE" in this regards I am hoping some of you members can give me advice in the purchase of a new OR used pickup truck.
Here's what I would really want spec wise:
4x4
crew cab
although I have been looking at some 2x as well.
I have narrowed it down to these 2 power house units mmm big power
Dodge Hemi SLT or Daytona Edition
Toyota Tacoma TRD
And as an offshoot
Sonoma S10 Extreme however this is only a 2x....
I am so confused.......

If I were in the market for a pickup, I don't think I would look any further than the Nissan Titan. That thing is a beast...and puts out a whopping 379lb-ft of torque. Having said this, I must admit that I am biased to Nissans. The Frontiers with the Nismo package are very nice also.
Others in the same class that I would consider would be the Tundra and the F-150. Anything from Dodge and GM has never impressed me...both exterior and interior wise.
As for the Ridgeline, I just can't get by its "Chevy Avalanche" type styling. Just test drive various trucks and see which ones you prefer, and I am sure the choice will become more clear.
Good luck in your quest for a pickup!

Talking about my first area of expertise
First question: what do you want to do with it?
2) Tow or haul stuff or trailer?
3) just cruise?
4) family hauler?
Just to let you know I have owned many many trucks over the years and at one time raced them at Speedway (yes I'm showing my age )
All my friends at work drive all kinds of truck and YES I am a ALBERTA RED NECK!
I presently own a 2500HD Diesel that has been chipped and hauls a**
But doesn't corner worth crap

If you have the mod bug there are a quite a few options out there that will boost a diesel engine to dizzying heights. My father-in-law has a 2500HD (diesel with Allison tranny) for hauling around his fifth wheel. He has some Banks Performance mods on it and it puts out some amazing numbers. Go to the Banks site for possibilities (there are other options too). However, like the man said, it won't corner like a sports car.

HOLY SMOKE!! I just test drove the NISSAN ARMADA! GAWD DAMN FULL-SIZE SUV! BOOTIFUL INTERIOR, LOADED! I felt like a RICHEST man driving the SUV. JERRY.... have you ever test drive the ARMADA! I'm inlove! So much better than my brother BMW X5!! 10 times better!! I'd give big credit for Nissan for making a nicest SUV! I have driven in MDX, PILOT, CRV (my mom's), and Sequoia (pretty HUGE and not my style). I like Armada overall.....
Anyway, I would choose Titan for the looks and power (lot of TQ!!)
