Paint shop recommendations???

Hey Guyz,

well the evening just turned sour... Walking out of future shop I notice a scrap on my lower front bumper that has gone through all the way to the base... So pissed right now since I gave the car to the detailiing shop and they never mentioned anything about it, and I didnt check since they hand wash, and clean my car every week. Will likely need the front bumper repainted since I want the job done to perfection. Pisses me off since the car is only 5 wks old.

So folks, need your help and recommendations on a shop in the GTA that does good work... Approximately how much is it gonna cost, and approx time if someone has done a similar fix on his/her vehicle.

Thanks again,

Tariq

Hi Tariq, you should give my friend Lakhai (pronounced "Lucky") a call, or better yet drop into his shop for a quote. Tell him Peter with the silver celica (soon to be G) referred you and he will treat you well.

Lakhai's number is 416.253.4444 and is located at 20 Belvia Rd. in Etobicoke (near 427/Queensway).

Well he was supposed to call me when he comes home since he is right in my area... But he forgot and apologized.. No biggie.. Gonna give him a shout tomorrow and take it over for an estimate.

Thanks,

Tariq

Tariq,

Don't bother getting a bumper repaint. Wait til near the end of your lease and then get your bumper re-paint because you most likely will get a lot of stone chips. You have seen mine that I have so many stone chips and luckly I didn't bother to get a repaint. Save money to the near (one month b4 lease expired) end of the lease.

Makes sense, but...
That's only OK if you can live with the ugly stone chips.

Also I have found that repainted parts stand up much better than OEM paint.

I agree with you there, but it just bugging me. Not doing the complete bumper right now since already got stone chips, but the scratch is just a thorn to look at everytime I get in... The price he gave me isn't bad at all, so lets see...
